The Eurasian Lynx is a medium-sized cat. Which is found in Siberia, North Asia, South Asia and Europe. Even though it is not endangered at all in Eurasia, it is critically endangered in Lithuania. The Eurasian Lynx is the biggest of its species. They can grow from 80 to 300cm (31 to 51in). Males usually weigh from 18 to 30 kg (40 to 66 lb) and females weigh 8 to 21 kg (18 to 46 lb). The Eurasian Lynx preys for small to fairly big animals, for ex. hares, rabbits, mice, dormice, foxes, deer, reindeer and other animals. The Eurasian Lynx lives in a rugged forested area. This provides great opportunities for hideouts and a way to stalk prey. The Eurasian Lynx is a pretty tough predator. It can kill a 150 kg (330 lb) male deer.
